The Ohio House voted to approve a $0.107 hike in Ohio’s gas tax. The tax increase was less than lawmakers originally sought, and warn that it may not be enough to fully fund necessary projects around the state.
Representative Beth Liston is among the members of the House who voted against the increase. In a Columbus Dispatch article, she said that ” working families and seniors ‘should not have to pay more in taxes to make up for failed leadership over the past eight years.'”
