An Historic Filing Keeps Dr. Beth Liston on the Path to Victory
DUBLIN, OH, January 31, 2018– Dr. Beth Liston’s campaign for Ohio State Representative continues their momentum with an historic January filing. Led by 1,200 donors, the Friends of Beth Liston campaign raised nearly $100,000 by the end of January. The average donation was less than $100, illustrating the campaign’s commitment to work on behalf of the everyday people of Ohio’s 21st House District.
In response to this filing, Dr. Liston said, “I am truly humbled by the number of people who are committed to our campaign. It’s not just the 1,200 people who have given because they believe in what we’re doing, it’s the team more than 100 volunteers who are out knocking on doors, writing postcards, and talking to their neighbors about this race. To me, all of these people deserve the credit.”
Of these nearly 1,200 donors, several hundred came from women physicians and healthcare professionals. A pediatrician and professor at the Ohio State University, Dr. Liston is focused on taking the healthcare discussion past partisan talking points and toward meaningful solutions.
When asked why he contributed, Dr. Pat Ecklar said, “I’ve known Beth for years. I have seen her work as a doctor and teacher. She is a good listener and has vision. To me, it makes sense for us to have a doctor in the Statehouse.”
