Beth Liston has been featured in an article published in the Winter 2018 edition of Ohio Pediatrics as being one of several pediatricians to choose to step into the political arena in recent years. “It is exciting to see that regardless of the number of challenges facing practicing pediatricians, to impact large scale change for children, many pediatricians right here in Ohio are looking to public service as a way to further their dedication to the health and well-being on Ohio’s children,” the article states.
Beth is one of three other Ohio pediatricians who have sought political office as a way of furthering their goal of serving their communities. The others, Dr. Thomas Phelps of Cleveland and Dr. Louis Goorey of Worthington, ran for and won seats in their local school board and city council , respectively.
Ohio Pediatrics is a quarterly newsmagazine published by the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
